SUMMARY:DDD Positive Behavior Support
DESCRIPTION:This PBS training is a total of eight hours; four hours each on two consecutive days. This registration is for August 28 AND August 29 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM each day. Encircle Families and the Division of Developmental Disabilities have partnered to create a new extended Positive Behavior Support training. PBS is evidence-based and promotes empathy, sensitivity, person-centered care, and inclusivity for members. Why enroll in PBS training? It identifies tools and resources for families and caregivers who support those with challenging behaviors and helps improve members’ quality of life. Using the tools reduces challenging behaviors. Using PBS supports stronger relationships and increases caregivers’ confidence to support individuals when they are struggling. This training is offered to caregivers and families of members enrolled in DDD at no cost.
