What Is Our Parent Panel Program?
At Encircle Families, we believe that strong collaboration between parents and professionals leads to better outcomes for children with disabilities. We provide training for pre-service and in-service professionals in education and health care to improve collaboration between families and providers and achieve better results for children. Through our workshops, professionals gain valuable insights from experienced Parent Leaders, who share their personal experiences to provide a deeper understanding of the parent perspective.
How It Works
Our professional training includes:
- Real-life Stories: Parents discuss their experiences, challenges, and successes with education and health care systems.
- Actionable Strategies: Hear stories and explore strategies that strengthen family engagement and improve communication with parents.
- Customized Workshops: Training sessions are tailored to meet the needs of educators, health care providers, and related service professionals.
Workshop Highlight: Engaging Parents in the IEP Process

Participants will also hear firsthand stories from Encircle Families’ experienced Parent Leaders, offering invaluable insights on building stronger parent-professional partnerships.
