Families across Arizona are sharing concerns about the new AHCCCS HCBS child assessment guidelines. Like many of you, we first saw these policies on Thursday, and the scope and depth of the changes to the assessment tool came as a surprise.

Since then, we’ve been working to lift up the voices of parents, bringing your questions to DDD and AHCCCS, and seeking clarity so we can fully understand the nuances of these changes. Our goal is to provide families with clear, accurate information about what these policies mean, the options available, and the steps for addressing concerns.
